The Evergreen Ball and Dinner Dance will be held on Friday, December 9^th, 2011 at Christ and Holy Trinity Church in Westport from 7:30 to 10:30 PM. All high school freshmen and sophomores residing in Weston are encouraged to attend. You do not have to have an official date; groups are welcome.

Parent Program with Matt Bellace, Ph.D. Speaker & Comedian on May 17th

Parent Program for the Weston Community :

Come to “Supporting Your Teen in Making Positive Choices” on May 17th at 7PM in the Weston Library Community Room.

Dr. Bellace is author of A Better High: A Humorous Look at Getting High Naturally, Everyday. He has a Ph.D in clinical neuropsychology and over 15 years of speaking and stand-up comedy experience. As a comedian , he has appreared on truTV’s “The Smoking Gun Presents” and can be heard on Sirius XM’s comedy channels.

Sponsored by WHS, ADAP and WYS, Dr. Bellace will provide examples of how to communicate effectively about responsibility, healthy coping skills and alcohol and drug use and he will present current research on adolescent brain development and answer questions.

Evergreen Dance December 4, 2010

The 2010 Evergreen Ball will be held on December 4, 2010 at Temple Israel in Westport.

This dance is for the 9th & 10th grade classes in Weston.

You do not need a date to attend this dance and we encourage students to attend in groups. Contracts are posted under EVENTS tab.

Do you have financial/bookkeeping experience and a few hours a month to join the ADAP Board as treasurer?

We need you ASAP! ADAP has been serving Weston since 1971.

ADAP also needs a co-chair for the Evergreen dance which will be held December 4^th ! We are also looking for chaperones the night of the dance.

Without enough parents to help, it is becoming increasingly difficult to sponsor the dances.

The Voluntary Action Center of Mid-Fairfield (VAC), a program of the Human Services Council, celebrated National Volunteer Week at its Annual

Volunteer Recognition Reception on April 29th at Norfield Congregational Church in Weston. Weston’s First Selectman, Gayle Weinstein was present

to hand out the awards to ADAP Board members Karen Sitney, Daniel Goldberg & Ross Karlan. Samantha Seath & Khadija Lalani also received recognition for their efforts.

Weston Women’s League Supports ADAP: Children’s Holiday Breakfast

The Weston Women’s League’s tradition continues with the Children’s Holiday Breakfast~winter wonderland & gift boutique on December 6th at Weston Middle School between 9am and 1pm. Frosty and Santa will be available for photos during the delicious pancake breakfast.

YLC members will be selling tickets at Weston Center over the next few weekends. Please support this family event. All proceeds will go to Kiwanis and ADAP to support programs for Weston youth. $25 per family, $8 per individual.
